Nepenthes densiflora

DESCRIPTION:
Nepenthes densiflora has a very restricted range, at present known only from 3 sites in Aceh, Sumatra. It prefers higher altitudes within its range, generally above 2500 meters. Habitats include moss forest and open highland meadows. Lower pitchers can be deep red in colour with a toothed peristome, growing to 20 cm in height.

Sumatra

ELEVATION: 1700-3200 meters

CULTIVATION
An extreme highlander by virtue of its altitudinal distribution elevation, this plant prefers typical highland conditions. Sphagnum moss is the preferred medium for optimal growth. We have observed that the plant is moderately tolerant of occasional higher temperatures.
